The Corpse Breathes, But Just Barely

Gross Demostic Product in the US dropped again in the first quarter of 2009, even more than most economists had anticipated, but other economic signs were a bit brighter...

Consumer spending stayed a bit higher than expected, helped in part by low fuel prices and low interest rates. Let's hope those two remain favorable.

Some good signs out there.

Maybe the recession/depression will start to ease later this year, rather than continuing it's downward trend...

Some rays of hope are better than no, uh, rays of hope.

Some are better than none...

Anyway, it's not as grim as it has been.
